If so, you could be our new Laboratory Design Engineer for our laboratory and test department in Danfoss Heating R&D with special focus on the Energy Meters used within District Heating Control.

The laboratory and test department are responsible for maintaining and the development of the accredited laboratory, system test of products and development of production test equipment. You will become part of a team of 10 skilled and dedicated colleagues, all focusing on optimal solutions and development of the world’s best heating controls contributing to Danfoss’ journey for more energy optimized and IoT connected product.

Maintain test equipment for R&D and production
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager and located in Nordborg, you will be responsible for the technical accreditation and approval for the laboratory and required product test facility for Danfoss energy meter products. In addition, you will be design responsible for new test equipment for both energy meter and other product lines where you will be involved in development projects from the beginning to the release of the product. You will work in close cooperation with internal and external engineers and get broad contact, both locally and internationally, with our local development department as well as production in China, external authorities and suppliers. Some occasional travel e.g. to China should be expected.

Your key tasks will be to:

  • Design and develop new test rigs, components and equipment for different test requirements
  • Maintain and expand already existing test rigs
  • Co-operate internationally with experts within the laboratory area at other sites
  • Maintain and develop the accreditation of relevant testing procedures according to ISO/IEC 17025
  • Plan, execute and follow-up on internal (and external) audits
  • Engineering with focus on high-level measurement technology

We expect you to have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical/Mechatronic) or the like(you may be newly graduated but candidates with experience will be preferred)
  • Experience with equipment design, combining the chosen HW and SW to a functional unit
  • Experience with measurement systems analysis (MSA), ISO/IEC 17025
  • Knowledge of MID certification is an advantage – DS/EN1434
  • Communication skills at a good level in both English and Danish

As a person you have good co-operation skills, and you have a structured way of working with a strong focus on high quality from start to end. You can also work independently, and you are good at co-ordinating things with both internal and external stakeholders. Last, but not least, you enjoy the combination of both practical and theoretical work.
