A unique growth possibility for a young business professional with a newly graduated MBA and preferably a few years of experience in sales, marketing or business development to take this fast track role in our global commercial organization. The position offers large learning opportunities within strategic management of key accounts globally. The position will allow for personal development in highly demanding and technical industries where value adding sales is the primary driver for successful performance. The role will expose the right candidate to general management of strategic accounts, value based selling and growing new biz in challenging markets with a focus on the Oil & Gas, Maritime and Wind industries. You will work in a Global Commercial Team with great development potential. Together we drive sales globally, directly and indirectly through our 10 business units across the globe.

We are looking for
A young business professional with a newly graduated MBA and preferably a few years of experience in sales, marketing or business development – preferably also experience from the Oil & Gas or Maritime industry but this is not a requirement. You are highly motivated and self-driven in order to achieve results. You can undertake frequent travel arrangements globally and are flexible in relation to you day to day work place. In some cases you may be required to participate in projects (for shorter periods of time); working locally in the centers. You likely possess the following characteristics:

  • Highly self-driven and result oriented with a solid “win attitude’
  • Excellent communication skills and preferably experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, where experience with the Microsoft Office package will be a must (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Service minded with a high drive
  • A structured way of working, showing attention to detail
  • Fluent in English both written and verbally

Key responsibilities

  • In this role you will develop and drive global account engagements strategy, including driving sales performance for new and existing sales accounts
  • You will build strong relationships with new and existing global sales accounts within the targeted industries
  • Ensure that global sales accounts are serviced and managed properly and that the accounts will continue to grow and develop
  • Follow up on sales activities as well as performance of existing sales forecast
  • Identify opportunities to expand the business
  • Help our local subsidiaries in driving targeted sales initiatives
  • Increase the share of wallet from assigned accounts
  • Project Management of ad hoc commercial projects together with the team, alone and in cooperation with the CCO
  • Conduct customer/business calls and presence on the most relevant industry conferences to represent Maersk Training in order to find new business opportunities
  • Report on monthly sales performance as well as updating and evaluating sales forecast and be responsible for annual budgeting for own sales accounts
