To further strengthen that leadership into the future, we are looking for chief architects for standardization.

In particular your responsibilities will include:

Representing Nokia in standardization in a leading capacity, on global, regional and national levels;

Directing domains of Nokia’s standards-related research and standardization strategy creation;

Driving Nokia’s position on standardization-related questions in conjunction with other internal stakeholders such as Research and Product R&D;

Engaging with customers and other ecosystem partners in the standardization process up to VP level;

Directly creating standardization contributions as well as developing areas of innovation;

As appropriate, taking up leadership roles in the standardization process;

Overall, making a significant contribution to Nokia’s standardization leadership.

We are specifically looking to strengthen our world-leading standardization team in the following technical areas of 5G standardization:

Experience and Qualification

  • A strong system background in several of the technical areas highlighted in the description above
  • A Masters degree or PhD
  • A good understanding of product solutions & portfolios, and of wireless business strategy
  • Long experience in standardization in a leading capacity (team, large external group, internal projects), with an established reputation
  • A strong proven track record in inventions and innovation
  • Experience of directing work in a multi-national and distributed environment
  • Fluent English is essential
