We are looking for a Controller with experience in accounting, finance, or auditing. You don’t need to have experience within ESG, but you should have a keen interest in working in this area.

A journey together
We are on an exciting new journey preparing Demant to publish the integrated annual report in compliance with Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

We need you to contribute to the development of the ESG group reporting and controlling processes and setup – amongst others – building a robust group reporting processes procedures for collecting, validating, and controlling of ESG data, as well as preparing consolidated data and reporting. Brand-new team

You will be referring to Gülsen Kocak, of ESG Reporting. Together we are “team ESG” or more formally - ESG Reporting. As a person Gülsen is helpful, patient, calm, and trustful. She values team spirit, high quality work, and particularly a lot of fun with a sense of humor.

Together we are part of Group Financial Reporting & Compliance, which consists of 12 highly competent colleagues divided into four other teams in addition to ESG Reporting: Reporting & Consolidation, Technical accounting and M&A, Financial Compliance and Finance Processes.

Cooperation across borders
Working across the Demant Group you will establish close collaboration, communication, and proactive engagement with the different departments in various countries to ensure proper processes and procedures for capturing accurate and credible ESG data.

You should therefore expect 10-20 travel days yearly both in and out of Europe. However, our headquarters is in Smørum, which will be your primary work location from where you have up to two homework days per week.

Externally you will be working with auditors and engage in close dialogues with our Corporate Communications & Sustainability team as well to other internal stakeholders.

Interesting assignments
As our to-go-to-person you are navigating in new regulatory requirements and stay updated on subsequent amendments.

You will among other things:

• Develop and implement processes and procedures for controlling and reporting of ESG data.
• Develop and implement controls for ESG data.
• Validate and control ESG data by group functions and entities.
• Consolidate and report ESG data.
• Support stakeholders and colleagues in the group and different functions with processes, technical assistance (in terms of CSRD and other ESG-related matters) etc.

• Assist in the reporting processes and support the local ESG data owners.
• Maintain ESG accounting manual incl. accounting policies.
• Prepare documentation for the audit.
• Participate in preparation of the integrated annual report and the year-end process.

Demant is looking for you
You hold an MSc. in Accounting, Auditing or Finance.

You have relevant working experience as Controller in a large or medium, international company or as an Auditor in a consultant company.

Experience within ESG is not mandatory, but ESG is your new professional passion.

Your interpersonal skills are just as important as your professional skills. This means you like to solve problems. You work team oriented as well as independently. You take responsibility and have a high level of integrity and diligence in your work. You are used to working with many different internal stakeholders.
