At K2 Management, we’re on the hunt for an APAC Technical Manager for our Analysis Services team. We’re an exciting, independent renewable energy consultancy with over 15 offices around the world employing approximately 160 people. You’ll be joining a global leader in supporting our clients in their efforts to facilitate the growth of renewable energy worldwide.
The role of APAC Technical Manager will see you take responsibility for the technical quality, accuracy and output of our growing APAC Analysis Services team and make a significant impact in one of the industry’s most experienced and well-respected wind and solar analysis teams. You will be working in a dynamic and ambitious team, where many team members have more than 10 years’ experience in wind or solar analysis and have previously worked at leading consultancies, developers, operators, and turbine manufacturers. We are also a growing team, committed to recruiting and developing the wind and solar analysts of the future. Close collaborative links between Analysis team and our Due Diligence and Projects teams enable our company to provide a wide range of high-quality services by combining multiple specialist skills to assist clients in the successful development, financing, delivery and operation of renewable energy projects.
What you’ll be doing:
As the APAC Technical Manager for Analysis Services, your role will involve:
- Ensuring high-quality technical deliverables to our clients for onshore and offshore wind farm projects in the APAC region, and globally
- Driving the growth of the APAC Analysis Services team through business development and attendance at commercial and technical conferences in the APAC region
- Leading the development of analysis methods, tools and products suitable for the challenging wind climates in the APAC region and contributing to our global R&D strategy
- Coordinating with the Analysis Services management team in other hub offices to define and achieve short-term and long-term strategic and technical objectives
- Supporting the management of the APAC Analysis Services team, including the technical development and mentoring of junior staff
- Commercial sales and technical work, supporting our clients throughout the development, financing and operation of their projects, and contributing to the work of the wider K2 Management APAC team, including the Due Diligence and Project Management teams.
About you:
To excel in this role, you’ll need to have:
- Relevant wind analysis experience in onshore and offshore wind
- Proven business development track record in the renewables industry
- Relevant team and technical management experience
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Confidence in providing technical advisory to a range of technical and non-technical clients
- Ability to work as part of a diverse and international team
- Enthusiasm to support the development of staff across the team
- Must be eligible to work in Thailand
If you also have experience of solar analysis, proficiency in project and time management, advanced computing skills, programming know-how, or a background in fluid dynamics, you’ll have an edge. Fluency in multiple languages is a bonus that will set you apart from the crowd.

Wind and solar analysis is an evolving science, and our aim is to be the best wind and solar analysis team in the industry; to deliver the highest quality work and maximise our contribution to project value and the development and operation of better renewable energy projects.
The Analysis Services team currently contains over 30 individuals based in Australia, Germany, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, UK and USA with major hubs in Bangkok, Bristol and Glasgow. The three analysis sub-teams (Pre-construction wind, Operational wind and Solar) cooperate closely, with some team members working across several disciplines.
