Are you interested in contributing to the advancement and integration of Substation Control Systems (SCS) in future infrastructure projects at Siemens?

Then we offer an exiting opportunity as a Substation Control Engineer, where you'll collaborate with a team of engineers dedicated to devising and deploying digital solutions within high voltage substations, both Onshore and Offshore. You will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our substations while also contributing to the development of innovative solutions to enhance performance and functionality. The role involves you ensuring the optimal implementation and design of primarily 150 kV SCS’s, yet ranging from the smallest RTU in a 10/04 kV substation to the large gateways in 400 kV substations.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, implementation, and documentation of the Substation Control Systems
• Translating complex technical requirements into reliable and elegant solutions
• Supporting Project Management in coordinating Substation Control systems throughout project phases
• Participating in system tests and assisting with tender preparation
• Handling turnkey deliveries to our customers
• Information protocol practices
• Prioritizing cyber security considerations in all aspects of your work

To be successful in this position

• You have an educational background in Electrical Power Engineering or equivalent
• You are familiar with communication protocols such as IEC 61850 and IEC 60870-5
• You possess strong analytical and communication skills and are fluent in spoken and written English
• You have an ability to engage stakeholders and achieve collaborative solutions through teamwork

In the role you can expect travel time of approximately 25 to 40 days per year. It also requires a willingness to be hands-on and present at the sites to perform the configuration and testing. Therefore, you must be in possession of a Danish driver’s license.

Previous experience with Siemens Substation Control systems like SICAM PAS, SICAM SCC or SICAM 8 series is advantageous but not a requirement.
