Join DEIF’s new Converter Team
The global energy sector is changing, and one component that has become central to this transition is the power converter. With the increasing demand for clean and renewable energy, DEIF and our partners are developing cutting-edge converter technologies that are efficient and reliable. As our new Power Electronics Specialist, you will be technically responsible for DEIF’s power electronics designs and solutions in close collaboration with the rest of the development team and our external technology partners.

“In this role, you will take the technical lead in our power electronics projects and work closely with internal teams and external partners to drive innovations. Your expertise will be crucial in defining the technical requirements of the power converter products and support the DEIF organisation in adopting these new technologies”, explains Vice President of Hardware, Martin S. Mallan.

Working tasks & responsibilities

• Focus on next-generation converter hardware design in collaboration with external partners
• Define DEIF’s need for R&D validation tests to ensure product quality
• Prepare R&D validation documentation, calculations, and simulations
• Collaborate with Business Solutions to define the technical requirements for power converter products
• Participate in power electronics design, simulations, magnetic design, and provide EMC/EMI expertise support.
• Propose technical patents within converter hardware technology
• Support management with risk assessments in power electronics
• Mentor junior engineers and develop their skills and knowlegde

What do you need to apply?
You hold a master’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field and have several years of experience in power electronics design, analysis, and testing. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, are familiar with power electronic converter modelling software, and possess knowledge of system studies and assessments. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are also essential.
