We are looking for Power Automation Design Engineers to join our team and contribute to Aibel’s progress in the energy transition.

Aibel is building a specialized team in power engineering and power automation to reinforce our leadership in oil and gas infrastructure development, electrification, and HVAC solutions across both brownfield and greenfield markets.
About the position
In this role you will be responsible for advanced system design, developing new applications for technology integration in new markets, as well as solving complex problems and delivering innovative solutions to design challenges.
Responsibilities and tasks include
- Design of power distribution control systems
- Participation in network and cyber security design
- Integration towards existing infrastructure
- Specification and follow-up of supplier delivery
- Design validation and simulation
- Functional testing
Qualifications
- PhD, master- or bachelor’s degree within relevant areas
- Experience within one or more of the following main areas:
- Production of governing documents, e.g. topology, functional spec., SCD and C&E
- Statutory and technical requirements
- Simulation
- Power system design
Personal qualities
- Fluent communication in Norwegian and English
- Identify with Aibels values
