The position
The team is primarily responsible for chromatographic analyses using UPLC/HPLC, as well as various chemical methods such as Karl Fischer. We specialize in these analytical methods from development to the transfer and implementation of the analytical method in one of the API QC laboratories (DK & US), including providing support to these QC laboratory. We provide ongoing support functions related to the development, implementation, and maintenance of these analytical methods. We conduct analyses related to the development or optimization of a method or the optimization of our existing API processes.

Your primary tasks will consist of, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting, managing, and reporting data from sample analyses for development or optimization samples
  • Support to API QC API laboratories
  • Collaborating closely with stakeholders to support development of new methods
  • Method validation including method transfer to API QC laboratories
  • Optimization of existing methods.

In this team, not many days or tasks are the same, and plans change daily. Hence, a certain level of independence, initiative and maturity is required to thrive in this position.

In order to succeed, you will need to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and collaborators, including project and manufacturing teams, QA, QC laboratories, scientists/engineers, and laboratory technicians.

Qualifications
We are seeking a highly adaptable professional with analytical, innovative, and collaborative skills. The ideal candidate must demonstrate expertise and the ability to excel independently and within a team.

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • M.Sc., or Ph.D. in natural sciences or engineering (e.g., chemistry, biotechnology or equivalent)
  • Experience with liquid chromatographic analysis development and validation (HPLC/UPLC)
  • Experience with analytical instruments and handling of data
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with team members, stakeholders and collaboratorsProfessional proficiency in English (spoken and written)

It will be an advantage if you have:

  • Experience from the pharmaceutical industry/knowledge of GMP
  • Experience with LIMS, Waters HPLC/UPLC systems, Empower software
  • Good organisational, planning, and time management skills

About the Department
In Product Supply (PS) API in Kalundborg, we manufacture the high quality active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) that are the main component in all Novo Nordisk products. Manufacturing Science And Technology, or just MSAT, is specialised in supporting the manufacturing processes.

PS API MSAT Analytical Support are specialised in analytical methods and support functions related to development, implementation and maintenance of a broad range of analytical methods. The department plays a vital role in support to the production and QC laboratories in PS API.

PS API MSAT Analytical Support is located in Kalundborg and is comprised of app. 70 engaged employees organized in four teams. This position is in the chemical support team.
