Job Objective
The Human Resources Officer will be responsible for managing a variety of human resources tasks, ensuring compliance with legislation, and supporting both employees and management. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially, and a strong understanding of HR best practices.
Duties and Responsibilties
Key Responsibilities:
HR Administration:
- Manage the HR inbox and respond to employee queries.
- Process dentist and doctor appointments for employees.
- Handle password changes on Dayforce and access control.
Employee Support:
- Support managers and HR team in their daily activities.
- Arrange and attend welfare meetings.
- Assist in arranging appointments with Medwise and organising transport.
- Handle payslip printing and distribution.
- Attend and note take in attendance, disciplinary, and grievance meetings.
- Issue letters as required.
- Answer internal and external phone calls.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Send letters, invites, and outcomes for various HR processes.
- Attend employee forums and health and safety meetings if required.
- Process reference requests and complete employee mortgage, paternity/maternity, and illness benefit forms.
- Ensure all compliance training is up-to-date and aligned with current legislation.
Other Responsibilities:
- Process invoices on Nav for training, transport, and medical appointments.
- Support employees with transfer requests to different departments.
- Maintain accurate and organised records of all HR-related activities.
Requirements
Experience
- Proven experience as an HR Officer or similar HR role.
- Strong understanding of HR functions and best practices.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office.
Educational Qualifications
- To be successful in this role, you will ideally hold a CIPD Level 3 qualification or be willing to work towards it within the first year.
