Renewable system installer

I have worked with Solinvictus to install renewable systems including solar thermal, photovoltaic and biomass, mostly on a domestic scale around London. The importance of logical, problem solving skills that were required when working on these installations were critical and are obviously transferable to many other scenarios.

It was fascinating to see what a difference renewable energy can make to ordinary people, as well as understand some of the factors that make people invest in them initially.

Analyst of European Affairs

I worked for Ofgem, the British energy regulator, as an analyst of European affairs. My role primarily entailed constant research of European energy issues, monthly briefings for the chair of ACER's Board of Regulator meetings and secretariat duties for both internal and external meetings. Other tasks included presenting analysis of the EU Emissions Trading Scheme as well as leading the compilation of the annual National Report.

This experience gave me a deep understanding of the challenges facing the European energy industry, as well as allowing me to develop my communication and organisation skills.
