Postdoc Position in Marine Trace Metal Geochemistry

We are looking to fill a postdoc position in marine trace metal geochemistry. We are interested in constraining trace metal budgets in the oceans focusing on a combination of establishing boundary fluxes and constructing an elemental map of the seafloor from a combination of literature analyses and new data.
The position will run for three years with starting date 1 November 2024.
The successful candidate will work on a Villum Investigator Project housed within the Nordcee group in the Department of Biology at SDU. Nordcee has a broad interest in exploring the interface between microbes and environment.
What we seek
We seek a strongly motivated trace metal geochemist with first-hand experience in running ICP-MS analyses.
The candidate should have completed a PhD will a solid publication commensurate with their experience.
The research activities (and the workplace) are situated in Odense.

As part of the Faculty of Science, the Department of Biology is located in Odense, the university’s largest campus. Odense is the country’s third largest city and is centrally located with easy commutes to Copenhagen and Aarhus (approximately 1½ hour).
