Foundation and Wind Turbine Graduate
Ørsted
The Ørsted Global Graduate Programme is designed to unleash your potential. We offer you an intense two-year developmental journey where you’ll learn from experts within your field and get diverse project experience, develop transferable skills, and build a strong cross-functional network with other talents.
The graduate journey
Our Global Graduate Programme consists of three rotations, where you’ll solve business challenges, take responsibility for your own assignments, and engage in our day-to-day business decisions.
You’ll be anchored in Primary Structures or Secondary Structures and rotate between our Geological area, Corrosion Protection, Fabrication team, or our Loads team. Through these rotations you’ll acquire a strong, holistic understanding of what’s important when designing wind turbine foundations.
You’ll play an important role in:
- designing the foundations for the wind farms of tomorrow
- ensuring safe and cost-effective design that complies with design standards
- ensuring that a holistic design mindset is employed based on planning and coordinating with project managers to ensure that we reach our milestones
- liaising with relevant stakeholders to ensure that the design meets business needs.
To succeed in this role, you:
- have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in structural engineering or wind energy from before 1 September 2025
- have a maximum of one year of full-time, relevant work experience between your master's completion and 1 September 2025 OR 1-2 years of full-time, relevant work experience between your bachelor’s completion and 1 September 2025
- are familiar with structural calculations or design
- are motivated by working in a large, complex, and international matrix organisation with many stakeholders and opportunities to develop
- are action-oriented and have a pragmatic approach to problem solving and are curious and eager to learn from our wide range of technical and commercial experts
- can convert customer needs and complex problems into manageable tasks
- have strong communication skills and are fluent in both spoken and written English.
Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
