Facility Support/Coordinator
The primary responsibility of this role is to support the facilities department by planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring facility activities, to include but not limited to regular preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance of equipment, writing of facilities documents to include creation and revisions of SOP’s and Form’s, Periodic reviews, Logbook generation and filing, Quality documents (CR’s, Deviations, Investigations, CAPA’s), tracking work orders, administering and monitoring equipment monitoring system (REES), assist office manager with set-up of events and conferences. processing invoices in Dynamics.

  • Schedule, coordinate, and oversee outside service providers for routine CM and PM Program tasks provided under building, system, or equipment maintenance contracts
  • Ensuring all CM and PM Program tasks are documented properly according to policies, procedures, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Authoring and revising Facility Corrective Maintenance (CM) and Preventative Maintenance (PM) SOP’s
  • Authoring and processing Facilities CAPA’s, Deviations, Effectiveness Checks, and Change Controls in the QMS system
  • Processing Work Order requests and keeping requestors informed of the status
  • Troubleshot repair requests and determine the appropriate path forward, in-house or service provider
  • Administering and monitoring the equipment monitoring system, notifying equipment owners, and documenting alarms
  • Processing Facility Purchase Requisition and invoice reconciliation
  • Support in the maintenance of a safe, clean, and organized facility
  • Provide technical and hands-on support to other Facilities team members, departments, and general office requests
  • Assist office manager with set-up and tear-down for events and conferences
  • Candidate must have knowledge and understanding of industrial and pharmaceutical safety practices
  • Participation in the on-call support program and some non-routine weekend or off-hours work dependent on the site's demands

Skills & Requirements

  • High school graduate plus trade school training specific to one or more of the listed requirements above
  • Minimum of 5+ years of Facility Engineering experience required
  • Experience and knowledge of Critical Utilities and Pharmaceutical / Biotech processing equipment and environments
  • Prior cGXP, experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Able to learn and utilize multiple computer management systems for various processes, such as training, document control, process changes or deviations, etc.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and coordinate workload by priority
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Must be customer service and quality-driven
  • Must comply with all applicable rules and regulations of Emergent and the Pharmaceutical / Biotech industry. This includes FDA regulations such as cGMP, GDP, EH&S regulations, and company regulations such as the employee handbook
  • Must possess a basic knowledge of EHS and Cal/OSHA practices
  • Must be hands-on, a self-starter, and able to work well independently
