Our Quality Control (QC) department at site Hillerød consists of approximately 200 employees divided into different support teams and five testing teams. About the teams
You will be part of the QC Microbiology but also working close together with the project implementing a DPM facility at site.

Microbiology in QC currently consists of 46 dedicated employees – scientists, laboratory technicians, samplers, student helpers and four associated managers. The teams deliver very important results that support the final release of the Drug Substance batch – and hence the bioburden samples are tested within 24 hours. The team supports 7 days a week testing within normal working hours.

The teams enjoy working within the field and are very engaged and knowledgeable. They have a great team spirit approach when it comes to making sure the laboratory runs smoothly and results are delivered within timelines.

About the position
Your primary tasks will be but not limited to:

  • Be part of a team working on new Filling line in a new DPM area.
  • Implementation of sterility test in QC Microbiology
  • Implementation of Media fill in QC Microbiology
  • Microbiological support to the DPM expanding project.
  • Making and assessing change controls for various processes & projects that needs to be implemented.
  • Delivering on the tasks in a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Our current methods are Bioburden, Endotoxin, Sub Visible Particles, Identification (ID) of bacteria species via MicroSeq or maldiToF, BacT testing of in-process samples and Container Closure Integrity testing (CCI) all made according to specifications,pharmacopeia (EP/JP/USP) and requirements from customers. New methods and equipment will continuously be implemented. Documentation and analytical review of test results are in our Labware LIMS system for IPC, DS/DP and raw materials in the laboratory according to cGMP.

Professional and Personal Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree in microbiologist or similar scientific background on a master level and experience with cGMP QC microbiology laboratory.
  • Knowledge of Microbiological testing from a DPM production as one of the main tasks is to implement sterility and media fill test in the QC Microbiological laboratory.
  • Knowledge of microbiology methods (bioburden, ENDO, ID etc.) and general laboratory experience is an advantage.
  • We are looking for a person who has the right can-do-attitude and energy and understands the requirements in a cGMP QC laboratory with a OneQC mindset. Someone who finds it natural and easy to create overview and structure information from many stakeholders and is an excellent communicator and collaborator.
  • Someone who can handle a busy environment with many changing priorities without losing your good mood and overview. You are curious, self-driven, dedicated, systematic and you reach out to find the necessary information and dare to make the decision/prioritization. Fluency in English is required as English is our corporate language.
