Process Control Engineer

Green Hydrogen Systems

Does the opportunity to develop safe and reliable control systems for our cutting-edge electrolysis technology sound motivating for you? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment, where innovation and collaboration are key elements? Then this could be the opportunity for you. We are looking for a Process Control Engineer to join our Process Engineering team at Green Hydrogen Systems.

Your key responsibilities
As Process Control Engineer your key responsibility will be to develop safe and reliable controls for our electrolysers. Working closely with Technical Leads and System Owners, you will engage in the conceptualisation, definition, detailed design, and testing phases. Effective collaboration with various internal stakeholders will be essential as you will bridge the gap between Process Engineers and Software/PLC Programmers.

Your main tasks and deliveries will include:

  • Develop management- and control systems for our alkaline electrolysis.
  • Ensure successful interaction between system and components.
  • Simulation-based development of new control strategies
  • Make functional descriptions for gas/liquid systems including testing and validation.
  • Establish alarm lists, C&E diagrams and develop new control strategies.

In our dynamic environment, your success relies on your capability to acquire process knowledge and understand the physics of our electrolysis system. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and effectiveness of our control systems, which entails completing and documenting tasks effectively.

Who are you?
We are looking for a candidate with a MSc degree within control, mechatronic engineering, or similar. You might be a recent graduate or bring experience from a similar position. Your deep understanding of process control systems and functional descriptions is key. Proficiency in MATLAB Simulink is essential, and particularly Simscape is an advantage. Programming experience is also considered an advantage.

On a personal level you are self-driven, take ownership and have a "can-do" attitude. You have a structured approach and value team-effort and creating safe and reliable solutions. You are responsible and can maintain the bigger picture. Finally, you are a team player and communicate in an empathic and transparent manner.

We offer
Green Hydrogen Systems is ready to take a position as one of the world’s leaders in developing and producing electrolysis plants that use electricity from renewable energy and water to produce green hydrogen. Green hydrogen is a cornerstone in the green transition of our energy systems globally with potential to decarbonise among others transportation, agriculture, industrial processes, and household heating.

You will become a part of the Process Engineering team consisting of 14 engineers and more to come. We have grown rapidly over the last few years, so we are a young, motivated, and dynamic team. As an employee at Green Hydrogen Systems, you get a unique opportunity to make your mark on a company that is advancing within one of the key technologies for optimal renewable energy utilisation. Together we are creating a great inspirational workplace where Care, Commit and Collaborate are our key drivers.

You will be employed at our HQ in Kolding or our office in Copenhagen and offered a competitive salary package including pension, health insurance and bonus schemes.
