The Team
As you step into your new position, you will become part of a skilled team of 14 members, each bringing a unique mix of expertise in fields such as mechanical maintenance, product maintenance, automation, electronics, calibration, and other technical disciplines. The Role
In your capacity as our new Process Engineer with expertise in MES (Manufacturing Execution System), your contributions will be central to enhancing the efficiency of our manufacturing operations. Your professional approach and expertise will be essential in implementing MES solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity in our manufacturing environment.
Your responsibilities and tasks will include:
- Implementation of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES): Oversee the integration of our new MES software (Opcenter). Establish a continuous improvement framework to enhance data quality for production routes and BOMs, both pre- and post-implementation. Understand our manufacturing process requirements and ensure seamless configuration between our MES and ERP systems.
- System Maintenance and Support: Provide ongoing support for MES software and associated systems. Troubleshoot issues, perform system upgrades, and ensure system reliability and availability.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Use statistical tools to interpret data and make data-driven decisions to optimize OEE/KPI.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, QA, and IT, to align MES solutions with business goals and requirements.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for processes, procedures, and system configurations. This includes writing user manuals, work instructions, and technical specifications.
- Training: Train end users on MES software. Provide guidance to ensure employees understand and adhere to established processes and procedures.
You are a collaborative individual who can work effectively with key stakeholders across the organization, as well as with colleagues and suppliers globally. Curiosity and the willingness to seek help when needed are crucial.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
- Manufacturing Experience: Background in a manufacturing setting, with experience in process enhancement or automation implementation.
- Software Proficiency: Expertise in MES (e.g., Opcenter) and ERP (e.g., AX2000) software and platforms.
- Data Analysis Skills: Highly skilled in data analysis and effective troubleshooting.
- Interpersonal Skills: Effective at interpersonal and communication abilities that facilitate collaboration throughout the organization.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and daily tasks, prioritizing effectively.
