Hedia, a pioneering digital health company developing a cross-platform medical app for individuals with diabetes, is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join their passionate mobile team in Copenhagen. You will join a product team of highly skilled mobile developers, backend developers and data scientists.
As SDET at Hedia, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the software. As the first SDET in the mobile team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated tests, manual tests, test frameworks, and test strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development as well as a solid understanding of quality assurance methodologies. It is also important that you bring experience and know how to navigate in the mobile environment.
Responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer in Test at Hedia (mobile team), you will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated end-to-end tests, currently written in the Detox framework. You will play a key role in improving the overall testing strategy and implementing effective test automation techniques.
Managing Jira tests and their linkage to automatic tests will be essential to ensure comprehensive coverage and traceability.
Your responsibilities will also include testing the product on various phones and screen sizes to ensure optimal user experience as well as testing third party integrations. Conducting thorough testing of new functionality and identifying bugs early in the development cycle will be crucial to maintaining high-quality software. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining different Android/iOS versions on physical devices, including various makes and models.
Performing "monkey testing" during internal builds is necessary to uncover potential issues and edge cases. You will also maintain and perform manual tests that cannot be automated or require human interaction. Enhancing and maintaining the CI pipeline to enable efficient integration and testing will be an important part of your role.
As Hedia Diabetes Assistant is classified as Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), documentation is an important part of the role. Thus, you will document software validation processes and contribute to technical documentation. You will also be actively participating in the risk management process and validation of risk control measures. Investigating and diagnosing bugs reported by users or detected through monitoring tools will be vital to maintaining the product's stability.
Finally, conducting regression testing during software updates will ensure the product remains reliable and functional.
By fulfilling these responsibilities, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality software, enabling individuals with diabetes to effectively manage their condition and improve their overall well-being.
