Research coordinator at the Finsen Laboratory, Rigshospitalet

We seek a highly motivated and independent research coordinator to support our research activities at the Finsen Laboratory. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating research activities between the different groups. The successful candidate will work closely with both PIs and researchers, supporting both daily activities at the Finsen laboratory, work with grant applications, ethical permits for both Videnskabsetisk komite, Dyreforsøgstilsynet and support for GDPR compliance within the research projects.
Start: Preferably January 1, 2025 or after agreement.
The Finsen Laboratory
The Finsen Laboratory is a basic cancer research department at Rigshospitalet. The Laboratory is also affiliated with the University of Copenhagen as part of the Biotech Research and Innovation Centre (BRIC). The Finsen Laboratory houses 7 research groups, each headed by a group leader. Currently we are approximately 70 staff members, including students and interns. Physically we are situated in the Copenhagen Biocenter close to Rigshospitalet and academic institutions.
The Finsen Laboratory is a research department working broadly on various aspects of cancer biology. The Department covers aspects on how cancer initiates, how it is maintained, and how it metastasizes. We have specific focus on the stem cell properties of cancer, the underlying genomics of tumours and on targeted drug-delivery. Our research facilities include modern laboratories and a number of core facilities shared between the 23 research groups at Finsen Laboratory and BRIC.
Qualifications
We expect you to be a highly motivated scientist with the following qualifications:
- A Phd in life science or equivalent
- Documented experience working within the field of cancer and hematology
- Documented experience with project management
- Documented experience with animal models of cancer biology
- Documented experience with GDPR and ethical permits for VEK/NVK and Dyreforsøgstilsynet.
- Experience in grant support
You are also expected to have the following personal qualifications:
- Open and service-minded attitude
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Good English skills, written and spoken

Place of employment
The employment is at The Finsen Laboratory, Rigshospitalet situated in the Biocenter, close to the center of Copenhagen.

Terms of salary and employment
Based on background education and seniority, your salary, pension and terms of employment will be settled in accordance with the existing agreement between the Danish Regions (Danske Regioner) and The Academics Central organization.
The position is full time (37 hrs/week)
