If yes, perhaps our new role as Project & Technical Sales Engineer is for you. In this role, you will act as a key support to our sales department and operation teams for onshore service and repair projects. You will be our technical advisor internally and to our customers. The position is located in Brøndby, close to Copenhagen.
You collaborate and provide technical knowledge
In this role, you will provide front-line support for technical inquiries from our customers in the Nordic region, and you will act as our internal expert who can support inquiries to complete projects. Over time and with support from skilled co-workers you also think it is interesting to gain knowledge to support the repair and service of old legacy cables from 30 – 420 kV.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Handling technical inquiries and occasionally providing offers to our customers in collaboration with the sales force in Denmark and Sweden.
- Supporting project stakeholders from defining technical solutions to implementation
- Representing the NKT Service business line internally and externally with expert knowledge
You will gather and analyze required technical data, optimize offers and completion from a technical perspective, and provide input for subcontractor work at service sites and collaborate with them.
Travel within Europe may be required (10-20 days a year).
Knowledgeable professional with considerable experience in a technical role
You work on both technical and commercial assignments and are motivated by the need to focus on both areas. You thrive in a fluctuating environment where planned and unplanned tasks coexist. Mutual backgrounds can bring you growth in this role. Typically, you come with a master’s degree in engineering / electrical engineering or equivalent substantial relevant experience, e.g. from a distribution or transmission company. Alternatively, you are at the beginning of your career ready to move forward.
Key skills include:
- Ability to read complex technical drawings and transfer the information into technical documentation (e.g. line diagrams, drawings, parts list)
- Experience in the field of applied physics or similar, particularly relating to the mechanics of hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in English and Danish, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and AutoCAD Lt.
- Knowledge of engineering software applications like CYMCAP, Mathcad, Matlab, COMSOL or similar is helpful, but not a requirement.
