The Position
Join our growing team to help build and guide the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s compliance program. Launched in 2023, our dedicated compliance function is expanding, and we are seeking an additional staff member to carry out existing functions and create new ones. As part of the Legal team based in Tuborg Havn, you will report to the General Counsel with dotted line reporting to our original compliance hire.
Our compliance team is always busy as we help support the Foundation’s growing international giving and presence, as well as complex standalone projects. We work to not only comply with laws and regulations but also to uphold the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
We are prioritising finding the right person for our fast-moving and evolving program rather than a specific profile or background. The role will have responsibility for some combination of the below, based on the successful candidate’s strengths and interests:
- Developing a due diligence program for grant recipients
- Providing advice on security, unauthorised knowledge transfer, and export control matters
- Managing a whistleblower program
- Supporting and localizing compliance programs at branch offices
- Developing and delivering compliance training (in-person and e-learnings)
- Maintaining conflict of interest policies and procedures
- Leading data privacy and/or AI ethics programs
- Managing risk processes
About You
We are looking for a someone who has experience building or operating/improving compliance programs in a global organisation. You should:
- View compliance as a partner for the organisation and a business enabler.
- Possess a strong ethical backbone and be able to communicate compliance messaging effectively and diplomatically.
- Be flexible and adaptable, capable of functioning in a growing and changing organization (including adjusting policies and approaches as needed).
- Have a knack for simplifying and streamlining processes whenever possible.
- Enjoy working in a team environment but also able to take ownership of and deliver tasks independently.
- Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills in English.
