STUDENT ASSISTANT FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF CULTURE, COGNITION AND COMPUTATION

The Department of Culture, Cognition and Computation at the School of Culture and Society is seeking a student assistant to help with the practical running of its three research centres Interacting Minds Centre, Center for Humanities Computing, and Social Resilience Lab. The starting date is 26th February 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter, with an average of 5 working hours per week.
As a student assistant, you will be a valued member of our community, actively contributing to the physical and social aspects of a pleasant work environment.
Tasks include
- Practical assistance in the centres (building 1483, floors 3-5): E.g., keeping kitchen areas, meeting rooms and printing rooms tidy, emptying dishwashers, cleaning coffee machines, returning plates to the canteen, returning bottles for recycling.
- Meeting preparation and clean-up.
- Ad hoc tasks, such as occasional conference assistance.
Priority will be given to candidates who
- are practically minded and reliable.
- can work independently and carefully.
- have good social skills.
Working hours and terms of employment
The average workload will be 5 hours per week, organised with a certain amount of flexibility to not conflict with your academic schedule.
The position will be terminated at the completion of the successful candidate’s studies.
