Control Room Operator (m/f/d)

Join us in this role where you’ll work in Orsted’s most modern control room in a rotating shift pattern, managing the start and stop of wind turbines just-in-time for our technician teams to perform on-site maintenance. Your responsibilities will also include reporting power plant availability to the energy market in real time.

You’ll be part of Main Control Room Continental Europe where you, together with your colleagues, will maximize power production, execute offshore maintenance on schedule, and ensure safety for all Orsted wind farms in Germany and the Netherlands. As a team, we support one another in our daily tasks, collaborate across functions and teams, embrace our diverse backgrounds, and consistently ensure excellent performance and maximum stakeholder satisfaction.
You’ll play an important role in:
- starting and stopping Wind Turbines in our offshore wind farms
- reporting power plant availability to the energy market
- supporting the HV Control Engineer with daily tasks.
To succeed in the role, you:
- are highly reliable and diligent in the execution of your tasks
- maintain the confidentiality of our business confidences and insider information
- are able to function in a 24/7 shift environment with our ambitious team of operators
- have strong communication skills and able to handle multiple high priority tasks at the same time
- are proactive and keen to identify and implement improvement initiatives and share best practices across our teams.
