In IT Security & Platforms, you will join a team of 6 talented and welcoming colleagues.

You will be developing and providing solutions for the IT Security and Platforms team at Maersk Tankers. With a co-creation mindset, you will collaborate with team members and business product owners to understand, define, and develop solutions that enhance performance across the organization.

At Maersk Tankers, you can come as you are and be among people who will expand your horizon. As our new Data Engineer, we do, however, expect that you can contribute with the following:

Translating business needs into technical designs and solutions, creating and operating data integrations, and participating in or facilitating the prototyping of new solutions and technologies. You will also be responsible for:

• Ingesting and cleaning data from a variety of different data sources and formats, spanning from internal operation data to external market data
• Collaborating with business users to create concise and meaningful data assets that fit into our platform architecture
• Operating data pipelines to ensure high robustness, fault tolerance, and availability, making optimizations and scheduling improvements along the way
• Maintaining CI/CD and data platform infrastructure, keeping the platform secure and robust while minimizing costs

In terms of technologies, the prioritized order is:

• Python Azure Functions for ingestion
• Azure DevOps for CI/CD, repository storage, and package repository
• PySpark and Scala Spark for data pipelines
• Azure Synapse Analytics
