Your role and responsibilities
ABB is a leading supplier of solutions for increased productivity and energy efficiency. Our Industrial Automation division provides safety and automation systems, IT solutions, drives and electrical systems, telecommunication systems, and instrumentation to both onshore and offshore installations. We serve a wide variety of industries, including aluminium, cement, chemical, food and beverage, life sciences, metal, mining, energy, power generation, and pulp & paper. Our automation teams in Norway are based in Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger, Trondheim, Hammerfest and Stord. We are currently seeking new members for our automation team in Stavanger. This role involves supporting several fixed installations in the North Sea with our products and services. Projects can range from one week to several years. Your responsibilities • Design control system software and/or 800xA systems • Configure and program controllers • Configure and install ABB 800xA systems • Plan and execute engineering activities • Test and install software and systems offshore • Follow industry-standard processes and procedures • Collaborate with Norwegian and international customers and vendors • Travel offshore and to site when required
Qualifications for the role
- Eager to learn and develop yourself and your colleagues
- Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent
- Fluent in English, both oral and written; Norwegian is an advantage
- Commercial awareness
- Experience with ABB Advant, Safeguard, 800xA software and system is an advantage
