Purpose of the Role and Task description

To prepare sales proposal documents and initial design calculations for Biomass Boilers and Flue Gas Treatment (FGT) plants, when Request For Quotation (RFQ) and Invitation To Tender (ITT) enquires have been received from clients across the DP CleanTech group.

The Proposals Engineer (PE) shall prepare the tender documents which typically includes the initial thermal designs, so that clients have a good appreciation of the technical package being put forward and an indication of expected operational data values, boundary limits, pricing, delivery requirements and commercial terms and conditions being presented. The generation of the thermal designs is completed by the PE using inhouse bespoke design software and DP CleanTech will ensure suitable training is available.

As part of the Engineering team the PE will work in conjunction with Process Engineers and Design Engineers on specific sales proposals, so that knowledge, reference information and experience can be shared between Engineers internally and individuals are not working in isolation.
The PE would benefit from a basic understanding of standard commercial requirements, such as contracts, pricing, transport requirements, payment terms and commercial terms and conditions, but this is not essential and training can be provided.

The management of documentation between DP CleanTech and the client requires the PE to be organized and disciplined in saving documents in the correct location and to the correct revision level. DP CleanTech has it own inhouse data base, which is shared and available across the group, so that the latest documents are always accessible.

The Role is mainly office based, however the candidate can work from home 1-2 days per week, once training and experience within the business makes this feasible.

Responsibilities
• Reporting to the functional manager as well as the line manager on general basis and project management for project related matters.
• Presenting proposal information to the DP CleanTech management team and external customers
• To work to the DP CleanTech standard processes and procedures
• To provide commercial proposal documents for FGT plant projects and Biomass Boiler plant projects including basic design calculations.
• Work with other sales divisions within our group based in Poland, Denmark and Thailand to ensure all sales enquiries are covered across the group.
• Responsible for ensuring that tenders are submitted before any closing date and any customer feedback is distributed to the relevant disciplines, accordingly.
• Uploading project and client information on to our inhouse database, so that information can be shared across the group and the latest document revisions are available.
• Sharing internal knowledge and experience within the company.

Working in DP CleanTech

On a global scale we are around 100 employees and in our Danish office we are 4 employees and now in the process of growing. You will refer to the director in our Danish office (who is also the Global Head of Engineering) and your workplace will be in Herlev. In our small Danish office, we keep an open, informal, and friendly atmosphere, where we support each other. Everyday work is characterized by working closely with colleagues in our offices abroad in an equally friendly and informal environment. We use Teams extensively so the requirement for travelling can be adjusted to match your life situation.
