AbbVie Denmark is looking for a Medical Advisor within Neuroscience/ Migraine
AbbVie is looking for a Medical Advisor who will work with our portfolio in Neuroscience, with focus on migraine. The candidate will represent the affiliate’s medical/scientific voice of expertise for assigned products in the field of neuroscience.
This is a Swedish/Danish position, office location: Stockholm, Copenhagen.
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with experts and academic centers; attend scientific congresses, arrange advisory groups, discussion forums and symposia.
- Deliver scientific presentations and medical education to healthcare professionals and internal AbbVie stakeholders and internal scientific training.
- Monitor the environment for competitive intelligence and develop summaries of key messages and trends for both internal and external use .
- Review and approval of advertising material. Ensure that medical/scientific content is correct and in accordance with regulatory and internal guidelines.
- Provide medical/scientific support to marketing strategies/Brand Plans and key commercial initiatives, as required and ensure implementation of Medical Functional Plans.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable national laws and regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, AbbVie’s policies and procedures and accepted standards of best practice.
- Contribute to evidence generation by identifying evidence gaps and participating in initiating, and following up clinical trials and medical projects, e.g., Phase IV, observational, registry and epidemiological studies.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- University degree in Medicine/ PhD, Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent Life Science.
- Experience within the field of neuroscience will be considered as an advantage.
- Keen interest in developing and maintaining expert scientific knowledge within the assigned therapeutic area/product and an ability to hold high level scientific discussions.
- Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills including an ability to clearly and inspiringly communicate complex scientific concepts.
- Fluency in written and oral Swedish/Danish and English is required.
- High customer orientation.
- Strong commitment to compliance with the relevant rules and procedures, and to scientific quality and integrity.
- Strong self-leadership and team-player mentality, team-oriented approach, able to develop and support relationships across the organization as well as with key external stakeholders and the healthcare community at large.
- Willingness to travel.
- Sound judgment, strong planning and organizational skills, and the ability to get things done.
- Flexible and able to deal with ambiguity and rapid changes
