Sensory Panel Leader

Sensory is a team based in both France and Denmark. The Sensory Panel Leader will be part of the team in Copenhagen, Denmark, supporting the sensory agenda in Carlsberg and reporting to the Sensory Manager in Copenhagen.

What you’ll be doing

The Sensory Panel Leader will act as full panel leader of the internal panel and be responsible for the daily sensory sessions and communication of sensory results.

Your primary tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Leading the sensory panel recruiting and training of new panelists as well as training and monitoring of the existing panel is in focus
  • Running daily sensory sessions from start to finish, including sample stock, preparation, data evaluation, reporting of results
  • communicating with internal customer
  • Tracking panel performance
  • Providing specific sensory trainings to ensure good panel performance
  • Collaborating with the Sensory Scientists
  • Task involves both routine and research work

What we’re looking for

You may be the person we are looking for if you:

  • have a BSc in Food Science, Sensory Science, or a related field.
  • have prior experience as a sensory panel leader – is beneficial.
  • are interested in sensory analysis and methodology
  • have skills in motivating and engaging people
  • are organized and have a solid ability to plan and prioritize activities
  • are focused on accomplishing goals and you have a natural drive and goal-oriented mindset
  • are prepared to participate in both routine and research work and have an interest in the brewing process
  • have proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CompuSense is beneficial.
  • are fluent in English both written and spoken.
  • open to work for temporary contract for 1 year
