Finance Business Controller - LEGO Retail Marketing

Core Responsibilities

  • Own P&L budgeting and controlling responsibility for LEGO Retail Marketing.
  • Ensure accurate month end close, reporting and commentary.
  • Maintain good governance of marketing spend, working with the marketing teams on spend follow-up and provide good visibility of marketing spend by lever, campaign or team.
  • Deliver annual plan and in-year financial estimates.
  • Drive continuous improvements in our processes and ways of working, including implementation of new tools (e.g. marketing planning tool).
  • Partner Retail Marketing teams with Return on Investment analysis on various marketing initiatives and retail innovations.
  • Support teams on assessing & delivering efficiency initiatives through validation of opportunities and ensuring all reporting tools are up to date.
  • Track and manage marketing team overheads such as travel, education and equipment costs.
  • Provide finance ad hoc support to business partners.

Do you have what it takes?

  • 3+ years workplace experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting or similar finance-related roles.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to sort through large volumes of complex data.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commercially minded with good understanding of a P&L.
  • Strong organizational skills, with ability to meet deadlines and perform multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in SAP, MS Excel (e.g., pivot tables, look-ups, macros, etc.) and experience/capability to upskill on visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
