We are looking for a full-time “Purchasing Engineer with Fixed Term Contract - Common Parts (Direct)” for our Izmir office in Gram Equipment Turkey as part of a Procurement team.

A background in the machine manufacturing industry, product knowledge, and hands-on experience in a similar role in an international environment, including experience working with a global supplier base, is a plus.

Your key responsibilities as a Puchasing Engineer (Direct) :

• Reporting to Procurement Manager

• Sourcing and placing orders at the best price, due time & quality required

• Searching actively critical components on the market,

• Purchase order management to ensure timely delivery within project budgets,

• Supplier development and relationship management – drive continuous improvements in performance being responsible for suppliers on the operational level,

• Running cost optimization and supplier consolidation projects for continuous improvement,

• Maintaining master data in the ERP system,

• Developing and digitalizing database for critical components,

• Managing quality rejects,

• Collaborating with internal stakeholders from other departments, such as planning, project management, design teams

• Invoice approval to solve discrepancy.

Your key qualifications as a (Direct) Puchasing Engineer :

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial engineering or another relevant educational background (such as Business Administration), is a plus.

• Advanced level of ERP understanding and Microsoft Excel

• Preferably minimum +4 years Purchasing experience.

Experience in purchasing electrical panels, automation components and stainless steel fasteners is a plus.

Ability to initiate and execute cost down projects

• Digital expertise in technological systems and tools with analytical capability.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills as a strong team player.

• “B” Class Driver’s License.

• No restriction for travelling in and out of country.
