Procurement Assistant
GomSpace A/S
Are you a hands-on procurement professional who thrives close to production?
Do you enjoy keeping things moving, following up, coordinating details, and ensuring materials are available where and when they are needed? We are looking for a Procurement Assistant to support daily procurement operations and act as a key operational link between Procurement and Production.
Your Role
You’ll work closely with Procurement, Planning, and Production, supporting day-to-day procurement execution and follow-up across assigned categories. The role is highly operational and execution-focused, with a strong emphasis on material availability, supplier follow-up, and stable production support.
You will support buyers and category managers with operational tasks, data handling, and coordination, playing a key role in maintaining smooth material flow and reliable deliveries.
Your tasks include:
- Executing daily procurement activities, including purchase orders, confirmations, and system updates
- Following up on supplier deliveries and production-critical materials
- Supporting material availability and shortage handling aligned with production plans
- Acting as an operational interface between Procurement and Production, providing status updates and visibility
- Maintaining accurate procurement data, documentation, and reporting in ERP systems
Short- and Long-Term Success
In the first 6–12 months, success means:
- Reliable and timely follow-up on purchase orders and supplier deliveries
- Accurate and up-to-date procurement data in ERP systems
- Strong day-to-day cooperation with Procurement, Planning, and Production
Longer term, you’ll take ownership of…
- Providing stable and predictable operational support to production
- Ensuring consistent supplier follow-up and execution quality
- Maintaining high data quality that supports planning and procurement decisions as operations scale
What You Bring
You’re an execution-focused and reliable team member who enjoys working close to production and material flow. You take responsibility for follow-up, coordination, and details—and you understand how your work directly impacts production stability and delivery performance.
You likely:
- Have experience from a procurement assistant, purchasing support, or similar operational role
- Are comfortable working close to production, logistics, or manufacturing environments
- Understand purchase order handling, delivery follow-up, and supplier interaction
- Are familiar with ERP systems and operational data handling
- Communicate clearly in English; Danish is preferred
Formal education is not a strict requirement. Hands-on experience is valued more highly.
Who You Are
You’re not just supporting procurement—you help keep production running. You enjoy being close to operations and take pride in following tasks through from start to finish.
You bring:
- Execution and reliability – you follow up, close loops, and ensure things get done
- Ownership – you take responsibility for operational tasks and escalate issues when needed
- Collaboration – you work closely with Procurement, Planning, Production, and suppliers
- Structure and attention to detail – you ensure accuracy in systems, documentation, and follow-up
- A hands-on mindset – you’re comfortable with routine tasks and understand their importance
You thrive in an engineering- and production-oriented environment with high accountability and a strong focus on delivery stability and continuous improvement.
