Position Overview
Join Deltek's engineering team as a Software Engineer and help shape the back-office business logic powering Deltek Maconomy — our enterprise ERP platform built for large global professional services firms. This is a graduate-level opportunity designed for high-potential MSc candidates ready to build a strong foundation in application engineering and grow into software architecture roles within a complex, enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain product integrations from Maconomy to 3rd party products
• Contribute to and align on product architecture in collaboration with peer architects
• Collaborate within a distributed Scrum team alongside Software Engineers, Testers, and Technical Writers to deliver high-quality, maintainable code
• Extend existing product functionality with a strong focus on code quality, scalability, and long-term maintainability
• Write and maintain automated tests including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Partner with customer support functions to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and resolve defects
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and sprint planning using Azure DevOps (ADO/TFS)
• Explore and apply AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, code review, and documentation workflows

Qualifications
Required Qualifications

• Master's degree (MSc) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
• Strong academic foundation in software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms
• Relevant thesis work, internships, or university projects involving system design, distributed systems, backend development, or cloud technologies
• Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Java, C++, C#, or Python
• Basic understanding of scalable system design and software architecture concepts
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to learn quickly in a structured engineering environment
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint-based delivery
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO/TFS) or similar project management tools
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (unit, integration, or end-to-end)
• Interest in or early experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot)
• Academic or project experience with enterprise-scale or distributed systems

Compensation Info
For this role, the expected annual base salary range is DKK 632,000.00-DKK 1,142,750.00, depending on skills, experience, and location. Final compensation will be determined in a manner consistent with applicable local laws and internal compensation practices. In addition, employees in this role are eligible to participate in one of the company's bonus programs, based on the guidelines or compensation plan for their specific role, job, or title.
