About the role
We are looking for an Engineer with interest in Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) to join our “Utility & Solvents” discipline at NNE. In this role, CIP is your primary technical focus.
You will act as a CIP engineer, supporting projects from early concept and design through commissioning, qualification, and handover. You will contribute to defining CIP philosophies, cleaning strategies, and system designs that ensure GMP compliance, operational efficiency, and sustainability. All our work is project-based, giving you continuous opportunities to influence technical decisions, support customers and collaborate with colleagues within the CIP discipline.
Depending on project needs, your workplace will be at our office in Virum, Kalundborg, or at customer sites, and you should expect regular travel between locations

How you might spend your days
As a CIP Engineer, you will:
- Design, specify, and deliver CIP systems across all project phases, from concept and detailed design to commissioning, qualification, and handover.
- Define CIP strategies, cleaning concepts, and design philosophies in accordance with GMP requirements.
- Prepare and review CIP-related PFDs, P&IDs, URSs, and technical specifications.
- Optimize CIP systems with focus on cleanability, robustness, sustainability, and lifecycle cost.
- Collaborate closely with automation teams on control strategies, sequences, and CIP recipes.
- Support and participate in FAT, SAT, commissioning, and qualification activities.

What you bring to the role
In all positions, there are some things that are preferred, and others, a bonus. If you do not meet all the qualifications listed below, you are welcome to offer alternative experience that you think would be valuable in this role:
- A degree in engineering, for example chemical, mechanical, biotechnology, process engineering, or similar.
- Recently graduated or soon-to-graduate engineer with an interest in CIP systems, utilities, process equipment, or pharmaceutical production.
- Basic understanding of GMP principles, or a strong motivation to learn GMP regulations and industry standards related to CIP.
- Interest in learning how CIP systems are developed across project phases, from concept and design to commissioning, qualification, and handover.
- Experience from student projects, internships, thesis work, or a project-driven environment is an advantage.
