AWS Cloud Operations Engineers own, operate, and continuously improve our production cloud environments. This is a key role within the team, responsible for advanced troubleshooting, operational excellence, and the reliability of a highly available, scalable cloud platform. Collaborate closely with customers, internal architects, and development teams while maintaining ownership of production infrastructure, deployments, and platform stability.
Responsibilities
Ensure platform reliability, security, and scalability across all production workloads
- Own and manage all production AWS environments across a multi-account Control Tower architecture ( Shared, Prod, Dev, and spesialized workloads)
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy
- Deploy and operate containerized applications using Amazon EKS and Amazon ECS / Fargate
- Operate and support a microservices platform, including service mesh, sidecar patterns, and container security best practices
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and operations using Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS-native automation tools ( Systems Manager, Lambda, Step Functions)
- Manage and optimize core AWS services, including: Compute: EC2, ASGs, Launch Templates, Networking: VPC, TGW, Security Groups, Route 53, VPN/Direct Connect, NAT Gateways, ALB/NLB, Storage: S3, EBS, EFS, Databases: RDS
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using AWS-native tools ( CloudWatch, AWS Config, GuardDuty, Inspector)
- Implement and enforce security and governance best practices across IAM, KMS, SSM Parameter Store, Secrets Manager
- Support and troubleshoot production workloads, including performance bottlenecks, networking issues, CI/CD failures, and container incidents
- Work closely with architects and developers while maintaining ownership of production infrastructure, deployments, and reliability
- Participate in on-call rotation for production-critical services
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on AWS, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering experience
- Strong CI/CD experience with (GitHub Actions (mandatory), AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild/CodeDeploy)
- Strong Kubernetes experience (EKS): cluster operations, node groups/Fargate, Helm, deployments, autoscaling (HPA, Karpenter), ingress (ALB controller), networking, RBAC, secters adn troubleshooting.
- Experience with ECS/Fargate and container security practices
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform + CloudFormation + AWS SAM
- Solid AWS fundamentals: Solid AWS fundamentals: EC2, VPC, routing, load balancing, security groups S3, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, RDS/Aurora or DynamoDB
- Understanding of multi-account AWS environments, identity, and production governance
- Ability to diagnose complex AWS issues (networking, IAM, CI/CD, Kubernetes)
- Scripting in Python or Bash, and JavaScript (Node,js) for internal tools and automation workflows
- Strong communication skills and ownership mindset
