Student for Global Sustainability and ESG

Do you see the importance of transparent and trustworthy product sustainability data? Do you have strong analytical skills, and knowledge of the ISO14040/44 standard? Now you have the chance to advance your skills further and test them out in real-world application. As part of the global sustainability team and together with our Lead sustainability and LCA specialist you will work with product sustainability documentation, driving our LCA program forward and helping Nilfisk engaging with our suppliers and customers, on sustainability product documentation. You will be based in the HQ of a global and international organization and play a pivotal role in the journey towards reliable product sustainability data for decision making and customer value generation.

Become a product sustainability data specialist
As a student in Global Sustainability and ESG team, you will play a central role as an important facilitator of product sustainability information. By using your knowledge and the data skills from your study you will build knowledge about our products to support the Global ESG & Sustainability department in the ongoing dialogue with customers. You will be joining Nilfisk at a time where we experience a swell in market demand for product LCAs, embedding our sustainability assets into the sales organization.

What you will do
You will support the analysis of our product sustainability data, co-develop the LCA automation framework, as well as facilitate supplier and customer dialogues. You will deliver this in close collaboration with a lead sustainability specialist and PhD in LCAs. Through the data collection you will also support the maintenance of Nilfisk’s Scope 3 inventory to enable delivery of ambitious Net-Zero SBTi targets.

Say hi to your new team
You will be part of the Global Sustainability and ESG team, situated in Nilfisk’s headquarters in Nordhavn. You will be an addition to a diverse team of four sustainability specialists with English as the working language, all located in our new head office – a brand-new sustainable building in Nordhavn. The team is working closely together with a broad range of stakeholders in both the head office and across the regions, supporting each other and having fun at work.

We value the experience you bring
To succeed in this position, we imagine that you are in the second or last year of your bachelor or just beginning your master’s in environmental engineering, life cycle engineering or similar. You have solid theoretical knowledge on Life Cycle Assessments and sustainable engineering, as well as solid practical knowledge of Excel, with the interest in learning the use of new analytical tools and databases. You have strong English language skills both written and spoken and can translate something complex into clear recommendations. Knowledge of the regulation in the area will be an advantage but not a requirement.
