As a Financial Accountant, you will join our Finance team in Sofia, Bulgaria, supporting Bang & Olufsen’s day-to-day general ledger processes. You will handle a variety of tasks within bookkeeping, compliance, and reporting, while working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the highest standards in financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Handle and oversee general ledger tasks such as asset register updates, bank postings, G/L postings, vendor creation, and travel expense bookings via Concur.
• Assist with VAT reporting, transactional reporting (e.g., WEEE, statistics), and invoice postings where relevant.
• Support month-end close activities and related processes.
• Collaborate on finance projects and contribute to continuous process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with bookkeeping principles and internal financial guidelines.
• Provide support for retail postings and ad hoc financial reporting.
• Assist colleagues to ensure accurate and timely financial operations.

What you bring
You have a solid understanding of financial bookkeeping, combined with a structured mindset and a collaborative spirit. Moreover, you bring:

• Experience from a similar role or a finance trainee background.
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Office tools.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• A structured and detail-oriented approach.
• Ability to communicate with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• A proactive, team-player mindset.
• Eagerness to learn and develop professionally.

You will join a highly collaborative finance team working across departments and countries. You will report to a Financial Controller and work closely with colleagues from Tax, Treasury, Logistics, and Business Finance, as well as with external stakeholders such as auditors and banks.

Compensation: Comprehensive salary and benefits package.

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria +hybrid working
