Turn scientific needs into digital solutions that make a real business impact.
Do you want to build digital solutions that help scientists work smarter and bring new medicines closer to patients? Join our growing technical automation team as a Software Application Developer and help turn complex scientific needs into scalable software solutions.
In this role, you will work at the intersection of software development, automation, and scientific innovation, collaborating with scientists, cloud architects, data engineers, and automation specialists. Your solutions will support Chemistry, Manufacturing & Control (CMC) Analysis and Characterisation (AnaC) laboratories and contribute directly to Novo Nordisk pipeline projects.
You will be a key bridge between science and digital execution - applying your technical understanding, driving projects and tasks from idea to implementation – and creating solutions that make a tangible impact across the CMC Development organisation. If you are ready to build solutions that connect science, software, and real-world impact, we would be excited to hear from you.
Your new role
As our new Software Application Developer, you will join the Technology Engineering team in the department of Analytical Execution and Technology in CMC AnaC. The team consists of around 23 highly skilled colleagues with diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise, located in Måløv.
You will lead the bridging of science to digital innovative solutions in close stakeholder collaboration while also using your project management skills to drive projects from idea to implementation.
You can expect to drive and/or to be involved in:
- Contribute to and coordinate a diverse portfolio of development projects across scientific and technical domains
- Develop and maintain modern software applications supporting automation and digital workflows and ensure successful adoption across teams
- Collaborate with cloud and data engineers to design scalable and secure digital solutions
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business/scientific needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Lead continuous improvements of existing systems, tools, and development practices
You will succeed in this role by translating scientific and business needs into practical, scalable digital solutions, while taking ownership of both hands-on software development, stakeholder collaboration, and project coordination in a fast-moving environment.
Your skills & qualifications
We are looking for a colleague with aA background in natural science, software engineering, Computer Science, IT or a related field. You also bring:
- Strong experience with software development using modern programming languages and frameworks in a pharma related field
- Experience with project coordination or project management, combined with a strong motivation to further develop your project management skills.
- Experience working with cloud providers AWS and Azure technologies, APIs, Python, Databricks, and system integrations.
- Understanding of agile development methodologies and software lifecycle management in pharma.
- Experience within natural science, laboratory systems, or data-driven environments is considered an advantage but is not required.
As a person, you are a strong collaborator and clear communicator who takes ownership, shows initiative, and sees possibilities rather than roadblocks. You enjoy working across both technical and non-technical teams, engaging with a broad stakeholder landscape, and finding better, smarter ways of working together. You bring curiosity for new technologies and a strong focus on quality in everything you do.
Your new area
CMC Development's role in Novo Nordisk's value chain is to turn molecules into approved products in close cooperation with our colleagues in R&D and Global Manufacturing & Supply.
In CMC AnaC, you will be part of a key area that drives impact across the Novo Nordisk pipeline. We strive to stay close to our stakeholders in the business to ensure we deliver to their needs, helping reach millions of people living with serious chronic diseases.
Digitalisation and automation are central to our strategy, and you will join a department committed to enabling smarter automatic workflows being either mechanical or digital, stronger data connectivity, and modern software solutions that support scientific innovation and operational excellence.
