Are you passionate about combining deep product development expertise with compliance leadership to shape the next generation of water and climate solutions? Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing quality of life for people.
As our new Compliance Engineer, you will be driving product design from concept to production readiness while building compliance expertise across the organization, interpreting international standards, and managing relationships with third-party agencies such as VDE and UL. You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture, that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.
What you will be doing
As a key part the Development team, you'll create impact by shaping how Grundfos develops compliant, world-class products by bridging the gap between engineering innovation and global regulatory requirements..
Your main responsibilities include:
• Take ownership of defined product or technology areas, driving design, compliance and development from concept through production readiness
• Proactively track new regulations and translate international standards into product-specific compliance requirements
• Serve as the go-to person for global and regional compliance, managing Documents of Compliance and Technical Construction Files
• Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure successful product transfer across the value chain
• Mentor fellow engineers, foster knowledge-sharing, and build compliance capabilities within the R&D function
• Provide strategic input to the product development roadmap and drive compliance tasks within the task handling program
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you are a technically strong and collaborative engineer with deep product development experience, a keen eye for regulatory detail, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders at a global level. We would also imagine that you have:
• University degree or strong background in regulations, policy, compliance or risk management
• Proven experience working with third-party certification agencies (e.g., VDE, UL, PFAS) and translating international standards into actionable product requirements
• Solid knowledge of product development processes, lifecycle activities, and compliance/requirement management
• Demonstrated ability to drive technical decisions and influence cross-functional stakeholders at a global level
It is a plus if you also:
• Experience in large-scale manufacturing, preferably in pump technology or fluid handling
• Track record of mentoring junior engineers and building team capabilities
• Experience contributing to technology roadmaps and long-term product strategy
Why you will love working here
We care! Day to day, you can look forward to:
• A working environment built around your needs, with flexible hours, home working opportunities and parental support.
