The Global Platform Secretariat’s Training Unit is looking for a colleague for a 12-month position as Trainer and Coordinator in the AADK Training Team, starting on 1 October 2026.

The position is anchored in the Global Platform Secretariat and will play a central role in coordinating and strategically developing ActionAid Denmark’s Information and Public Engagement activities under the Strategic Partnership Agreement with the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while also contributing to the continued development of the DK Training Unit’s engagement, learning and mobilisation work.

About the role
You will join a dynamic and collaborative team working with training, public engagement and youth-led learning. The role combines strategic coordination, project management, facilitation, administration and resource mobilisation. A key part of the role will be to ensure coherence, quality and progress across IPE activities, including VerdensKlasse, workshops and other learning and engagement activities as AADK transitions from SPA2 to SPA3.

Your main responsibilities will be:
Strategic coordination of DK Training Units IPE activities, approximately 70 percent

  • Coordinate and strategically develop IPE activities under the SPA framework, including adjustments and new initiatives linked to the transition from SPA2 to SPA3.
  • Ensure coherence, quality and progress across IPE implementation and development, including VerdensKlasse, workshops and other learning and engagement activities.
  • Contribute to the development, delivery and evaluation of learning activities and workshops for Danish youth, teachers and other target groups.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in the DK Training Unit on planning, development and delivery of IPE activities.
  • Manage administration related to workshop delivery, including bookings, invoicing, financial coding and other coordination tasks.

Strategic development of the DK Training Unit, approximately 30 percent

  • Identify and develop new opportunities, ideas and formats that strengthen AADK’s DK training activities, IPE implementation and work with youth, teachers, civil society actors and other relevant target groups.
  • Hold overall project management responsibility for additional projects beyond the SPA in the Training Unit, ensuring their strategic relevance and effective implementation.
  • Anchor and explore opportunities for scaling the Academy for Hope and Action as a central part of the Training Unit’s engagement work.
  • Drive resource mobilisation for new and existing initiatives, including prospecting, grant applications, pitches and collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Establish and develop strategic partnerships that create new opportunities for engagement, learning and mobilisation.

About you
We expect that you have:

  • Solid experience with project management, including planning, coordination, implementation, follow-up and reporting of learning, engagement or externally funded projects.
  • Experience with strategic coordination, prioritisation and quality assurance across teams, target groups or programme areas, preferably within information, public engagement or education programmes.
  • Solid experience with resource mobilisation, including developing grant applications, pitches and proposals for foundations and funding opportunities.
  • Experience identifying and developing new opportunities, ideas and concepts, and translating them into concrete initiatives, partnerships or fundable projects.
  • Experience establishing and developing strategic partnerships with relevant organisations, foundations, institutions or civil society actors.
  • Experience teaching, facilitating and engaging young people.
  • Experience developing engagement and learning formats, including pedagogical and didactical understanding and experience designing, delivering and evaluating creative, participatory and action-oriented learning activities.

In addition, we are looking for someone who:

  • Has strong administrative skills, including handling enquiries, bookings, calendar coordination and other practical coordination tasks.
  • Communicates clearly and confidently in both Danish and English, orally and in writing, and can adapt communication to different target groups and platforms.
  • Is outgoing and confident in communicating across organisations, age groups and cultures.
  • Can manage several tasks and processes at the same time while maintaining overview and follow-through.
  • Is motivated by working with youth engagement, learning, mobilisation and global justice.
