Do you want to apply your HRMS skills in drug discovery and help turn complex analytical data into insights that support project decisions?
We are looking for a motivated Research Scientist to support and further develop our high-resolution mass spectrometry capabilities while contributing broadly to bioanalysis, peptide characterization, metabolite identification, and DMPK workflows.
As our new Research Scientist, you will take ownership of HRMS and bioanalytical tasks, contribute to study planning and data interpretation, and work closely with scientists, laboratory technicians, and project teams across Gubra.
Your new department
You will join a small, collaborative Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics department within the drug discovery organization at Gubra A/S. Our team brings together three scientists and three laboratory technicians who work closely together to generate and interpret bioanalytical and DMPK data that help project teams design studies to understand peptide pharmacokinetics, metabolism, and make informed decisions on compound progression.
Our work combines hands-on experimental work, quantitative bioanalysis, data interpretation, and presentation all in close interaction with project teams across Gubra. You will become part of an open and curious team where scientific sparring, shared problem-solving, and cross-disciplinary collaboration are central to how we work.

Key responsibilities
As Research Scientist, your primary tasks will include:
- Own defined HRMS workflows from study planning and analysis to interpretation and reporting
- Conduct peptide and protein characterization and metabolite identification studies using Orbitrap HRMS
- Translate HRMS results, capabilities, and limitations into guidance for project teams
- Identify opportunities to apply HRMS across departments
- Support selected quantitative LC-MS/MS bioanalysis workflows
- Collaborate with technicians, DMPK scientists, project teams, and colleagues involved in data interpretation and workflow development
- Build DMPK understanding to support interpretation and decision-making

- Proficiency in R for data handling, analysis, and visualization
- Reliable and quality-focused approach to planning, execution, documentation, and reporting
- Confidence in taking ownership of tasks while seeking input and sparring when needed
- Collaborative mindset and ability to communicate scientific findings clearly across disciplines
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who brings:
- A PhD or master’s degree in analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, bioanalysis, or another relevant scientific field
- Hands-on experience with HRMS workflows, including data processing, interpretation, and clear reporting
- Motivation to apply analytical science to DMPK and drug discovery projects
- In addition, it would be beneficial - but not required - if you have:
- Experience with Orbitrap-based HRMS platforms
- Familiarity with common HRMS analysis workflows and software tools
- Experience from a pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, or discovery/development environment
- Experience with data automation, programming in R / Python
