Are you motivated by the idea of bringing science, entrepreneurs and companies from Denmark and the Southern German high-tech ecosystem together, then you should apply for our position as Innovation Advisor.

In ICDK Munich, we assist Danish research organisations, companies and startups in navigating the Southern German innovation ecosystem. Our advisors provide guidance on the latest technologies, access to markets, capital, and knowledge partners.

In Munich, our most recent focus is on Quantum technologies, Health tech, AI and Space. These priorities will continue, but may change over time. Therefore, you should be able to navigate different technologies.

Based at the Consulate General of Denmark in Munich, Innovation Centre Denmark facilitates knowledge exchange and partnerships between Denmark and Germany within technology innovation and research. We work closely together with colleagues in a matrix in the DACH Region on innovation, trade and investments and have a strong collaboration with HQ in Denmark and the global network of Danish missions.

Our new Innovation Advisor will join a team of dedicated employees and a dynamic workplace with a good work-life balance and plenty of opportunity for competence development.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Build an understanding of the Danish and German innovation ecosystem and its stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and research collaboration in the relevant technology sector.
  • Research, develop, and present German market entry strategies and market intelligence to Danish companies.
  • Organize and execute events, workshops, and delegations to and from Denmark.
  • Identify innovators in Germany within both research and industry.
  • Expand our local network in Germany and engage in discussions on potential Danish-German collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • Strategic, commercial and innovative mind set.
  • An ability to work independently as well as in teams.
  • Self-driven, good interpersonal skills and a result-oriented approach.
  • Flair for communication and a talent for building and developing lasting relations.
  • Fluency in English. Knowledge of German and/or a Nordic language (written and spoken) is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of technology trends and the German innovation ecosystem is an advantage.
  • Network within the German tech industry and 3-5 years relevant working experience within consulting or business development is an advantage.

Employment conditions:

  • As standard procedure, we offer a two-year contract with the possibility of extension.
  • Standard working hours are 37 hours per week including a 30-minute lunch break.
  • You will be entitled to 25 days of paid vacation per year.
  • Your salary will reflect your qualifications and relevant experience.
  • The employment is subject to a security check by the Danish authorities.

Expected start of work:
As soon as possible.
