The Role
At Global Wind Service, we are currently ramping up our expanding Electrical Completion Teams in Onshore Division and will appoint a group of new Electrical Skilled Technicians for pipeline of Onshore Installation projects.
As a travelling wind turbine technician, you will work abroad alongside a team of well-trained professionals to maintain facilities surrounding wind turbines and assemble the turbines themselves. Therefore, proven educational background in electrics and experience in electrical works, high level of attention to safety and industry regulations is important for overall safety on the job.
Become a part of our Electrical Completion Team
In this position, you will be part of the team of our electrical technicians working on instalation of new wind turbines with specialization in electrical completion, per standard operating procedures globally.
During your project assignment, your work will be supervised by one of GWS electrical leads. Throughout whole cooperation with GWS, your first point of contact will be one of Line Managers, located in GWS back office.

Requirements
Responsibilities
- To participate in Onshore Installation works up to current team assignment and under leader's supervision
- To check and get familiar with all instructions, manuals and industry practices before commencing a task
- To plan your own work ahead incl. tools and equipment needed for its' completion
- To work according to safety regulations and always wearing required PPE
- To work in a team, caring about fluent cooperation and safety of team members
- To participate in maintenance of equipment on site; to respect the role of proper house keeping in daily site life
- To attend site inductions and other requested site meetings, incl. daily tool box talks
- To continuously improve your professional knowledge and technical skills while attending trainings regularly - from manufacture specific to country required
- To report all near-misses, incidents, and accidents with regard to the highest safety culture and lessons learned approach
- To report timely of all work and travel related expenses in software used at GWS for this purpose
- To keep good business relations with back office personnel, subcontractors and client representatives as well (direct on site and remote: via phone or on-line)
Your profile
- Min. 1 year of experience from working in the field as an electrical skilled wind turbine technician
- Familiarity of construction of wind turbines manufactured by: Nordex, Vestas, General Electrics, Siemens Gamesa or other wind world recognized OEM (proven by relevant certificates of those brands)
- Fluency in work with electrical circuits and in read of relevant manuals and diagrams as well
- Valid GWO BST and BTT trainings
- Completed min. 2-3-years electrical education proven by a diploma (ideally translated into English)
- English skills at least at communication level (both spoken and written)
- You are cooperative, communicative, open-minded and flexible – with respect for others and other cultures
- Confidence to work at height and general good health conditions – both proven by valid OEUK Medical Fitness certificate
- Capable of working at remote sites in adverse weather conditions
- Ability and willingness to travel and work in rotation style 6x2 (weeks) domestically and internationally as required
- High emphasis on Quality and Safety
- Lifespan learning approach
- Clean drivers’ license and ability to obtain a Passport
