We are looking for a Power Trader ready to learn the specifics of the European power markets and join our ambitious power team with experienced colleagues. The job as Power Trader
As Power Trader in MFT Energy, you will take part in everyday trading and develop trading strategies and models for the Central West European markets. In the power team, we are 4 dedicated colleagues ready to welcome you and support you in your development to becoming a successful power trader.
Your key responsibilities
- Daily trading and optimization of trading positions
- Developing and implementing trading strategies
- Building and maintaining quantitative models
- Risk evaluation
- Always questioning the status quo
- Appling insight to optimize and rethink automated trading tools
- Developing projects and implementing these with support from our specialist colleagues and support teams
Your qualifications and personal skills
Working as a trader involves using your analytical abilities to interpret complex market data, while maintaining a strong eye for detail and trends, and making quick, well-informed decisions under pressure. Therefore, becoming a successful trader depends not only on your professional capabilities but also on your personal competencies.
We imagine that you:
- Have a master’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or Physics.
- ... Or have experience with etc. stock trading, poker, or similar that gives you competencies relevant to trading
- Are competitive by nature, and able to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Are a strong team player with the ability to work independently
- Are a quick learner of complex datasets and methods
- Have excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Have some computer coding skills and modelling experience.
