The opportunity:

As Azure Data & ML Solutions Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in designing and developing our data infrastructure, driving technological advancements and playing a pivotal role in shaping the future structure. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in Azure and data engineering, as well as a strong interest in utilizing data to drive business insights.

In this position, you will collaborate closely with colleagues in DevOps, the Head of IT and stakeholders throughout the company to offer technical guidance on the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of all Azure-related products and services. Additionally, you will be responsible for building a roadmap for the future of our Azure Data platform, including the integration of Azure Machine Learning.

The primary tasks:

• Design, implement, and manage data solutions on Microsoft Azure.

• Develop and implement a roadmap for the Azure Data platform, including Azure Machine Learning.

• Create and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory.

• Develop and manage data storage solutions such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Cosmos DB.

• Ensure data integration and ETL processes are efficient and reliable.

• Monitor and optimize data storage and data processing tasks.

• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.

Qualifications:

We seek a team member who can identify with the description below:

• Strong data engineering skills, including enterprise data modeling, setting up data pipelines, and data transformations
• Proficient in designing and implementing data platform solutions using the Azure and the Microsoft stack.
• Experienced in developing data storage solutions, including Azure SQL Database and Azure Data Lake Storage.
• Skilled in best practices to build highly efficient and reliable ETL processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

It is an advantage if you have:

• One or more relevant certifications such as DP-203, DP-600, DP-700, DP-100.

• Experience with machine learning and data analytics.

• Knowledge of data security and compliance best practices.

• Experience with data visualisation tools like Power BI
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Azure Databricks and Apache Spark.
