Service Engineer - Sweden

The position
Job overall purpose

• To provide skilled electrical and mechanical support on maintenance and troubleshooting of Fike’s Explosion Protection (EP) systems both individually and as part of a team

Key areas of responsibility & tasks

• When you provide skilled electrical and mechanical support on Fike’s Explosion Protection (EP) systems individually or as a team, you work towards providing onsite customer service and support for the maintenance services in varying conditions in ever changing surroundings from coal dust to sterile pharmaceutical conditions
• You plan and perform on-going preventive maintenance visits to various customer locations in the assigned region which will be primarily Denmark and additionally in other Scandinavian countries
• You participate in the on-call duty system and provides emergency visits as required at short notice to ensure that all systems stay in optimal condition
• You complete all administration and ensures all files and data are kept up to date and archived
• The position demands flexibility and assumes overtime hours and working during unsociable hours, respecting the labor regulations concerning overtime limits and rest periods
• You will perform installation, service and maintenance work at sites belonging to clients within the assigned region, which might be up to 80% of the time. Estimating up to 10% outside the assigned region for exceptional support to customers in other countries and visit to Fike Belgium to attend training & team meetings

Criteria of Success

• Completion of technician pre-test, based on knowledge gained from on-site experience and Fike literature. Must attend Fike’s training class. Must pass a theoretical test and assessment
• Create strong relations with all stakeholders

Your profile
Critical experience

• Technical knowledge within electrical/mechanical support
• Field service experience for an industrial product
• Experience with working with standards and certifications

Skills

• Flexible
• You have a valid drivers license
• Excellent in English and Danish – both oral and written
• A “Do’er”
• Structured
• Resilient
• Good communicator – internally and externally

Education

• Relevant technical education

The European Headquarter is placed in Belgium and on-boarding and training will take place here.

The job will be performed from the home address since there is no branch office in Sweden Thus you probably live in the area of one of Swedens largest cities.
