Data Scientist, Computer Vision

Dalux

Do you want to develop computer vision and machine learning solutions for closing the gap between plan and reality for large scale construction projects, with the goal of minimizing waste through digitalization?

Your new role
Bringing data from offices to the construction site using 3D BIM models has long been part of our core expertise here at Dalux. Now, as one of the next steps in our effort to digitalize the construction industry, we are working to bring data from the construction site back into the office using modern Computer Vision techniques.

As a Data Scientist in our Computer Vision section, you will develop and deploy deep learning models to improve the understanding, alignment and correspondence between 3D models of the construction site and video data gathered using our vSLAM system. As part of an R&D team, you will work on discovery of new solutions through research and rapid prototyping, and translating the findings into delivery of high quality solutions to complex computer vision problems.

Your background
We believe you…

  • Have a solid theoretical foundation from a degree in computer science, engineering, IT or similar.
  • Have a hands-on experience with software development using C++, Python or C#. It is important that you have reached solid coding standards and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Have a machine learning experience or trained in the area. Hands-on experience with PyTorch and MLFlow is a plus.
  • Have computer vision experience or trained in the area. Hands-on experience with OpenCV is a plus.
  • Can work both independently and as part of a team.

Most important is your problem-solving attitude, passion for software craftmanship, and the ambition to participate in the full lifecycle of our machine learning solutions.

Our tech...

  • C++
  • OpenGL
  • Python
  • PyTorch
  • MLFlow
  • Kubernetes

We are focused on using the right tools for the job, and as such the list of technologies may change depending on our needs and new offerings.
