We are looking for
Teaching assistant in Computer science: Applied Data Science at the Faculty of Technology and Society.

Work duties
We are looking for teaching assistants for working for the master program Computer Science: Applied Data Science. We need program assistants that can coordinate social and technical events for the program.

Qualifications
Only those admitted to first or second-cycle courses and study programmes may be employed as teaching assistants (Chapter 5, Section 10 of the Higher Education Ordinance).

In addition to formal competence, University employees must possess the personal capacities necessary to perform the duties of the position well and to represent the University in the best possible way.

Specific requirements for this position:
Qualifications for Social Event Coordinator

• Good organizational skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Skills in collaborating in a team.
• Problem solving skills.
• You should have a good understanding of the student group in the program.

Qualifications for Technical Event Coordinator

• Technical Proficiency
• Knowledge of Competitive Programming.
• Technical Support Abilities.
• Knowledge of Current Trends
• Good organizational skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Skills in collaborating in a team.
• Problem solving skills.

The following would be of benefit for the position:
Prior Teaching or Mentoring Experience: Previous experience as a teaching assistant, tutor, or mentor. For Social and technical event coordinator previous experiences to coordinate events are beneficial.

Faculty, Department and Research environment
Faculty
The Faculty of Technology and Society conducts education and research with a focus on technology and science at the two departments of Computer Science and Media Technology and Materials Science and Applied Mathematics. The Faculty collaborates with companies and other organisations to raise the level of skills, create new products, develop businesses and provide students with early links to their future working lives. Department
The Department of Computer Science and Media Technology offers research-related programmes at undergraduate and graduate level, as well as postgraduate education. Research at the department is conducted in computer science, information systems, software engineering and media technology. Some of the areas of interest in research and education are artificial intelligence, digital media, e-health, Internet of Things and game development. The department has more than 80 teachers and doctoral students and is divided into three units, each with its own head of unit. More information about the department can be found here.
