What You’ll Be Doing

As a Software Developer, you’ll:

• Design, develop, and refactor software solutions using modern C++ and object-oriented design principles.
• Apply software design patterns to build scalable, maintainable, and adaptable software architectures.
• Prioritize software quality and reliability through meticulous testing, including integration and unit tests.
• Collaborate closely with team members, fostering a supportive environment to design and deliver quality software solutions.
• Engage in code reviews to uphold and enhance coding standards.
• Tackle complex software challenges with a focus on both functionality and performance.
• Software development in a Linux-based environment, utilizing its tools and features effectively.
• Design and integrate optimization algorithms in C++, harnessing the power of the Standard Template Library (STL)
• Integration of computer vision algorithms using ie OpenCV

You will be joining our software team responsible for developing Marels portioning machines. Your role will be targeting application development in C++ with a focus on designing optimization algorithms for our machines. You will be developing in a Linux based environment where we make sure we stay up to date on the software tooling applied around our software platform. We invest time in improving testability of our codebase using both integration and unit testing. We structure our daily work by SCRUM methodologies, and you will be joining a team of very committed and highly skilled developers that are always eager to help each-other in troubleshooting problems.

You will also be part of working in a global organization, collaborating across countries and cultures to create innovative software solutions for our machinery.

• Proficiency in modern C++ (C++11 and beyond), with confidence in using STL and algorithms.
• Skilled in object-oriented programming, with an understanding of software design patterns.
• Knowledge of network communication protocols like TCP/IP and UDP.
• Analytical and creative problem-solving mindset, focusing on tackling challenging technical issues.
• Familiarity with SCM tools like Git for version control.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks and embracing test-driven development practices.
• Comfortable navigating and working effectively in a Linux environment.

What will make you stand out

• Proven track record of applied algorithm design.
• A knack for prototyping algorithms in Python.
• Practical experience with computer vision, especially OpenCV.
• Solid background in machine learning and deep learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies ie using Dockers.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks like PyTest and GoogleTest.
• Maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
