POSITION OBJECTIVES
Under the supervision of the Protection Coordinator (MHPSS/GBV), the Protection will work with their assigned Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) group to go to communities identify protection concerns conduct basic case management and implement protection mainstreaming. The Protection Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day support of DCA’s protection activities in Ukraine including but not limited to ensuring that DCA’s protection policies and procedures are followed and implemented consistently.
Regardless of the content of this job description the employee is expected to participate in any task necessary for the organization always delegated by the manager.
MAIN DUTIES:
Facilitation of trainings on GBV mainstreaming, and psychoeducational topics.
Participate in the implementation of basic case management with psychosocial support and gender-based violence programs in the designated locations of the project.
Creates and regularly updates reports of cases and outreach activities.
Submit timely project reports (monthly/ weekly) including quantitative and qualitative data to the upper management.
Ensure proper use of forms and confidential referral follow up.
Responsible for the planning and implementation of Protection activities, closely monitoring, evaluating, and reporting their development and flagging potential issues on time.
Able to travel to different partners in various locations in Ukraine.
