Market/Liquidity Risk Management Audit Specialist to Group Internal Audit at Danske Bank
Danske Bank's Group Internal Audit function (GIA) offers independent assurance and provides insights that matter to the Board of Directors and the Executive Leadership Team. We are committed to adding value, identifying and suggesting improvements to the control environment while supporting the Group's business strategies and sustainability agenda. We're seeking a new colleague for our Group Risk Management Audit team to audit market and/or liquidity risk management processes with the supporting models, data, governance etc.

The Group Risk Management Audit team conducts operational audits of all risk categories across the Group guided by our audit methodology. Joining our team also means becoming part of an innovative and highly professional audit function of approximately 100 professionals from diverse backgrounds and specialties. Our new domicile Copenhagen Central is GIA’s homebase, but we also offer alternative office sites in the Group’s core markets outside Denmark.

Join a distinguished team of Specialists within GIA
Your role will encompass auditing market risk management, liquidity risk management, treasury, and funding processes, aligning with relevant regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices. Staying informed about development in the risk picture for these areas, you will engage in risk assessments and conduct audits, leveraging your analytical skills to present findings to senior management and occasionally financial supervisors. Success in this position demands engagement and curiosity for the areas and a willingness to build a solid understanding of the business environment to challenge and improve existing processes. A solid understanding of regulatory frameworks, including the CRR/CRD and EBA guidelines, is also essential.

Skill is a resource, built by curiosity, training, and learning
We are currently seeking experienced candidates. However, a junior candidate with the right mindset and curiosity about risks and controls could also be a suitable candidate. For this position, we expect you to have:

  • A master’s degree in economics, finance, banking, mathematics, statistics, data science – or a similar field.
  • Experience from similar positions in an audit department in a large regulated financial institution. Alternatively, experience from a risk management function, or the first line in banking, consulting, or financial supervisory authority –
  • An open mindset and aspiration to continuously improve and learn new auditing skills and approaches, based on applying data analytics and/or GenAI.
  • Great communication skills, with the ability to present findings convincingly with respect and transparency.
  • An inclination for learning and sharing through collaboration.
  • Proficiency in English. Knowledge of a Nordic language is beneficial.
